Brianna Markham’s design for this new kitchen in Waikouaiti is all about bold simplicity with a wow factor. The clients sought a minimalist design that would still leave a lasting impression, and Brianna’s use of lighting and dark cabinetry more than delivers.

Laminex Acrylic Metallic Coal cabinetry takes centre stage, with its deep, shimmering tones playing beautifully off the LED strip lights under the top cupboards and island. These elements come together to create a sense of warmth and intimacy, while also adding a futuristic touch to the minimalist theme.

For practicality, a large walk-in pantry provides ample storage with floor-to-ceiling open shelves on one side anda mix of cupboards and drawers on the other.

The overall design embraces functionality while maintaining a modern, sleek aesthetic. The scullery, as well as the laundry, and vanities, all echo the kitchen’s minimalist approach, using high-quality materials to create a consistent design throughout the home
