Tucked away in picturesque Kawakawa Bay and overlooking the Hauraki Gulf, this lovely home needed a statement kitchen. Frances Fothergill of Mastercraft Kitchens Botany stepped up to the plate and hit a home run with this cutting edge kitchen.

The high gloss Alabaster cabinetry encircles the central island crafted from Bestwood Etched Graphite, creating a striking contrast of dark and light aesthetics. The contrasting colours not only add a visual depth but also enhances the contemporary architectural vibe of the kitchen. The cabinets are not just visually appealing; they are also incredibly functional, thanks to the inclusion of special features like Blum Servo drive units, Orgaline inserts, a Hafele Le Mans corner pullout, and a Blum Space Tower pantry. These elements make organisation a breeze, ensuring that everything has its place.

The island bench in Silestone Polaris, supplied by Cosentino, is the icing on the cake. It not only offers a spacious and durable workspace but also adds a touch of sophistication to the kitchen. The polished finish enhances both the visual appeal and practicality of this island bench. By not including a sink on this island, the area serves as a larger prep area or more of a family and social focal point.

For the surrounding bench and scullery bench, Dekton Bromo 20mm Naturale provides a beautiful surface that is both stylish and functional.

While the scullery and other parts of the house offer their unique charms, it’s the kitchen that commands attention. Its contemporary architectural design seamlessly integrates with the living space, making it an ideal spot for both culinary pursuits and social gatherings.

As we look across the water, the kitchen’s role as a gathering point becomes evident. It’s not just a place for cooking; it’s a space where memories are created, conversations flow, and culinary creations come to life.
