Who are we?

When it comes to kitchens everyone in Hamilton knows Mastercraft Kitchens Waikato – by Gibbs Industries. Founded in 1965 we are the Waikato’s most established and respected kitchen manufacturer. Alan (Max) Mackie, owner of Gibbs Industries (Waikato) Ltd in Frankton, Hamilton, operates the Mastercraft Kitchens Licence for the Waikato region. Max brings a wealth of corporate experience to the role of General Manager. Founded in 1965 by Dave Gibbs, Gibbs Industries long established reputation for producing quality custom made kitchens will ensure the growth of the Mastercraft brand in the Waikato. Dave retired in early 2021.

What we do

Mastercraft Kitchens Waikato offer a full kitchen design, build and installation service at very competitive rates – fully backed by our 10 Year Mastercraft Guarantee. All our staff are trained to make every step of the process effortless and enjoyable for our valued clients.

We really do believe that your kitchen is the heart of the home and as such should be crafted with care and attention to detail. We design and build cabinetry solutions for other areas of the home too including: Bathrooms Laundries Wardrobes Garage units.

Gleniss Kehely

I switched my career path from the building industry to designing kitchens in 1991, with Mastercraft Kitchens in Tauranga. It didn't take me long to fall in love with everything ‘kitchen’, and I can still say I love coming to work every day. Our clients are fabulous, and every home is different. While trends, colours and materials change over time, the personal satisfaction involved in being part of a great team hasn't. I am passionate about creating a wonderful experience for each customer and fitting a fully functioning & attractive work-space into their home is a fantastic feeling.

Anneli Groenwald

Designer

My kitchen design career started in South Africa in 2006, and I’ve been at it ever since! Originally working as a Detailer focussed on commercial projects for retirement villages, I later had the opportunity to train as a Kitchen Designer, working directly with clients to turn their dreams into reality. When I decided to emigrate to New Zealand in 2018, I was warmly welcomed by, not just the Gibbs team at Mastercraft Waikato, but also by all my various clients I have had in my time here. I look forward to designing kitchens for many more homes in the future.

Jade Sharp

Designer

Hi, I'm Jade and I'm a Designer at Mastercraft Kitchens Waikato. I started my career here in 2021. I studied a Diploma of Visual Arts at Massey University in Wellington. This has given me the creative knowledge of colours, textures and layouts. I have a passion for Kitchen Design and helping clients achieve their ideal spaces. I keep up with trends and always bring fresh ideas to make every kitchen unique and special. I look forward to working with you.

Ockie van Greunen

Designer

My kitchen design career began in 2005 in South Africa, where I worked for a prominent design team within a leading kitchen manufacturer. When I came to NZ in 2019 I wanted to work for a similarly high-quality manufacturer, and joined Mastercraft Kitchens Waikato. I enjoy the process of dealing with clients firsthand and being part of the process to bring their dream kitchen come to life. If I had to choose a favourite type of kitchen design, it would be modern/contemporary.
